While it would be more accurate, I guess “Wichita Artificial Water Feature We Turn Off When It’s Hot” is probably too long to be the name of a city.
Big Red and Texas BBQ
Rudy’s has always been “just ok” but accessible barbecue, but whoever made the decision to replace Big Red with Pepsi products deserves to be kicked in the nuts.
I have people skills damnit!
New project starting soon. Might actually have to DESIGN things for first time since like 2018.

Meta’s Twitter competitor Threads is here and I hate it
Installed Threads and immediately saw a bunch of random messages from people I don’t follow just because someone I do follow replied to them with two words or an emoji.
Tried to post to tell people to follow me on Mastodon but Threads just crashed over and over every time I tried. ??♂️

Oh no now every time the timeline reloads it’s different posts and most of the time it’s all stuff completely unrelated to anyone I’m following. You know, just like Instagram. Why on earth would anyone want this?
Why do so many people here seem so eager to jump to Bluesky or Threads? Why did they leave Twitter if they’re so eager to jump to different evil companies and their algorithms?
Supreme Court justices need term limits

WFM (Working from Mall)
Working from Willow Bend Mall where two thirds of things are boarded up or padlocked has similar vibes to going into office. (But with better music and worse wifi.)
Star Wars Outlaw gameplay reveal
If Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws doesn’t let you pull the view out a bunch and tone down all the camera swinging, chalk it up as another game I’m super interested in and won’t be able to play. ?

“Happy work anniversary, here’s your $1 bonus”
Employee recognition and rewards platforms are a scam so they can give you 100 “points” instead of fair compensation and proper recognition. 100 points is worth literally one US dollar.
Using Arc as dedicated separate video browser
Trying out Arc as a dedicated browser just for video. I tried Arc out a while ago and bounced off pretty quickly, but it has good picture-in-picture support and I like having that stuff separated. Putting it a different app and on a different monitor than my main browser keeps it out of the way and also makes app switching/window management cleaner. We’ll see how it goes.
