Bottom right one was our favorite, not sure why the other ones ended up with clown makeup. Ha.
Good followup to the first book in the series. I liked the world building etc in the first one a bit more but by the end (after a particular awful character is finally out of the story), I came around and am really looking forward to reading the finale of the series.

I am so glad to be done with the musical anthology section of my Disney Animation Studios chronological rewatch. I assume I can safely literally blame Hitler for this down period between 1942 and 1950?
The Pecos Bill segment was ok, maybe I would have liked the whole thing better if I hadn’t just watched Make Mine Music and the other anthologies.

Fun story. Mostly good writing. Surprisingly good characters. Plus Picross! Considering they’ve been acquired by Epic and Mediatonic will likely eternally be on Fall Guys and/or Fortnite content development, it’s disappointing that we likely won’t get any more stories like this from them.

💿 Buy Murder by Numbers for Nintendo Switch
Pretty sure I am indeed human, but it is admittedly pretty hard to tell the difference between a roasted chicken and a stack of croissants.
Gowalla is back from the dead and available on the App Store.
I downloaded the app but couldn’t make it through signup flow. They’ve made the baffling decision to require sharing your entire contacts’ data. There are zero scenarios where I’ll do that. (Pretty ironic “we respect your privacy” note on the same screen.)
My phone’s address book also has virtually no relationship to who I’d use an app like Gowalla with. Am I going to share stickers with my plumber, my grandma, and my kid’s second grade teacher?
The framing device with Candice Bergen’s weird ventriloquist father takes off half a star from this by ruining Mickey and The Beanstalk. He wasn’t even very good at keeping his mouth from moving and half the time he did the dummies’ lines from off camera.
And according to Candice it sounds like he loved that puppet more than he loved her. (Which considering the puppet was in his will and she wasn’t seems like it might be true.)

New single “Over” by Chvrches is out today on all the various services.
Chrvrches is pretty much the only new band I’ve stuck with over the last 10+ years. I’ll bounce around on new stuff now and then (and like musical cast recordings) but really their music is only thing I listen to consistently in any context.
Maybe someone with too much money heard there was a “Mammoth investment opportunity” and misunderstood.
